Q'ero Sacred Wisdom
The Q'ero Nation
The Q'ero are the last living descendants of the Inca Empire, dwelling in remote villages above 14,000 feet in the Peruvian Andes. When the Spanish conquest swept through the sacred lands of Tawantinsuyu, the Q'ero retreated into the high mountains — preserving, intact, a cosmology and ceremonial tradition that stretches back thousands of years.
For centuries they lived in almost complete isolation, maintaining their sacred rites, language, and relationship with Pachamama far from the reach of colonization. In 1955, a Peruvian anthropologist rediscovered the Q'ero, and their wisdom keepers — the paqos — began to share their teachings with the wider world for the first time.
Today, the Q'ero paqos carry a living prophecy: the Taripay Pacha — the Age of Meeting Ourselves Again. They teach that this is a time of great potential transformation, when the wisdom of the Andean path can serve as medicine for a world in crisis. Pacha Inti Foundation is honored to preserve and transmit their sacred cosmology as a living gift for collective healing and awakening.
The Three Worlds
The Upper World
The realm of the heavens, celestial beings, and cosmic archetypes. Home of the great condor, the sun, stars, and luminous ancestors. The Q'ero access Hanan Pacha through elevated states of ceremony and prayer.

This Living World
The world of manifest reality — mountains, rivers, community, and daily life. The realm of Pachamama, the living earth. Here the principles of Ayni are practiced and the sacred is found in the ordinary.
The Inner World
The deep inner world — realm of the unconscious, the roots, the serpent, and ancestral memory. The world beneath the surface of things, accessed through ceremony and inner work.
Four Sacred Principles
Ayni
Sacred Reciprocity
The foundational law of the Andean cosmos — every act of giving calls forth a return. Ayni is not transaction but living relationship, the great weave that holds the three worlds in harmony.
Munay
Love as Cosmic Force
More than emotion — Munay is the heart's capacity to hold all of creation in tenderness. The Q'ero speak of Munay as the energy that transforms and heals, the ground of all real action.
Yachay
Sacred Knowing
The living wisdom that comes not from study but from direct relationship with the natural world and the spirit realm. Yachay is the intelligence of the fully awakened human being.
Llankay
Purposeful Action
The sacred work of one's hands and life — action aligned with Ayni, Munay, and Yachay. Llankay is the fourth pillar: the gift of service expressed through one's unique calling.
